Turning your dreams into a home!

Daniel C Spiess, Realtor

A Real Estate Agent You Can Trust

Welcome!

I am glad you came here to see who I am and what I am about. I was born and raised in New Orleans East.  I grew up, went to school, and played sports all within a 2 mile radius of each other my entire adolescent life. I met some of my best friends, a lot of whom I still keep in contact with, at the playground.  I went on to Brother Martin, where I played football, basketball, and ran track.  While at Brother Martin, I had an encounter with God that changed, and shaped my spirituality going forward to now!

After high school, I enrolled into University of New Orleans. While a lot of my friends went off to Baton Rouge, I chose to stay home and work my way through college.  That said, hard work has never been a problem for me.  I have held a job since I was old enough to hold one…….possibly sooner!

While enrolled in college, I was working for the Federal Government.  I wasn’t sure if that was what I wanted to do for good, so I explored real estate.  I initially went to school and received my real estate license back in 2006. I continued working full-time and selling real estate part-time. It wasn’t a lack of love of the real estate market or business, rather the opportunity to make what I thought was really good money with a great job offer.

In 2008 I began working my current full-time job, but still hadn’t felt fulfilled.  I was making good money and doing well, but there was still that “what if” lingering in the back of my mind. What if I had just been a little more devoted to real estate?  Where could I have been? It was time to find out “what” and I’ve realized the time is NOW!

Here is my vision for us (that’s right, us), because a real estate transaction or several real estate transactions are a journey, a relationship………..

Purchasing a home is by far, the biggest investment most of us will make in our lifetime. Conversely, selling a home could be one of the biggest returns on that same investment. My vision, is to be with my clients at every step and to make sure everyone in the transaction is on the same page, as well as guide my clients seamlessly throughout the process. I can’t guarantee it will be completely void of bumps in the road, however, my job will be to absorb those and make sure my clients feel as comfortable as possible on the road to the closing table.

One of, if not the, biggest joy I get from being a Realtor is seeing the keys pass hands at the closing table. It’s about seeing both parties happy and moving on to the next chapter in their lives. At the same time, I have learned that my clients aren’t just my clients any longer. They become like family, as we celebrate weddings, births, birthdays, Mardi Gras and plenty other special occasions together.

So, what does one do when they work a full-time job and sell real estate part-time?

Glad you asked! I have a 9 year old daughter who cheers competitively for her school, St. Catherine of Siena. We travel with her…….A LOT! I am also active in the SCS Men’s Club. My biggest joy, personally, comes when our family is happy, healthy and financially sound.

What I do

Credit Repair Consultation

When a client comes to me for my real estate professional services, I accept them in whatever financial status they are currently in.  I work with clients currently having bad, marginal, good or great credit to help maximize their ultimate goal of owning a home. I will offer my advice as well as get them with a lender who will give detail specific goals to meet to raise their credit score.

Listing agent

Life happens! The only constant in life is change itself. When working as a sellers representative, I make sure my clients are comfortable with the entire listing process, as I know changing homes can be stressful. I prepare a custom Comparative Market Analysis for each homeowner, ensuring that the recommended list price is accurate and will help their home sell in a timely manner. From coffee table to closing table, I am there every step of the way!

Buyers Agent

When I am working with buyers, it is imperative that I listen intently to what the buyers want in their next home. I work tirelessly to ensure as a team, we find the perfect home for my clients. No looking at homes that don’t meet their criteria, or hoping something isn’t swiped away before they can view the property. Buyers should never have to find properties on their own, and while I am aware that happens, I incorporate several strategies to make sure my clients get first look at new listings.
